 Cold weather is coming

Here are our maintenance and storage tips for your grill.

CLEANING :

The first step is to clean your appliance well, to do this, remove the grilles and deflectors to clear the tank

Brush the bowl and the burners with a brush. Remove the burners from the tank and then clean them using a wick and a venturi brush, watch the maintenance videos below to guide you through this step.
Clean your screens. When finished, reassemble everything and heat your grill on high for 15 minutes to remove any remaining residue. Do not forget to clean and change the grease container under your tub.
Cleaning Stainless Steel Grates: Use a good degreaser to soak your grates and baffles. Brush them using a brush suitable for stainless steel then, once dry, reposition the grates in your BBQ. To protect your grates, coat them with a coat of oil before storing.
Cleaning the cast iron grates: Brush the grates with a brush suitable for cast iron and then remove the grates. Preheat your BBQ at high intensity.
Coat the grates with vegetable shortening (important not to use butter, margarine or any other salty fatty substance) then position the grids upside down in your bbq.
Reduce the temperature to medium and let heat for about 30 minutes. Let the racks cool, reposition them where they are and to protect them, coat them with a layer of shortening before storing.

STORAGE:
You can store your device inside a shed or garage or outside, here are our tips:
To store your device outside: Make sure your device is neither hot nor humid, then affix your cover. Avoid storing on wet ground such as grass. Instead, store it on a balcony or patio.
Also, remember to remove snow from it a few times during the winter to avoid snow accumulation.
To store your appliance indoors: Store your appliance without the cover to avoid trapping moisture and without the propane cylinder.

PROPANE STORAGE:
The propane tank must at all times remain outside and in an upright (upright) position. Make sure the tap (valve) is closed, then store it away from the reach of children and snow accumulations.
